It’s a fact that Kurt Zouma has great potential and looks set to have a great career ahead of him. He looks like he could really be a key player for Chelsea in years to come.
Zouma who is just 19 has already made his debut for Chelsea, which he scored on. But he is also a regular in the Chelsea squad making countless appearances on the bench this season which is more than most players of his age can say. Therefore this is allowing him to develop as a professional and gain experience.
Zouma stands at 6ft 3in and has tremendous strength and pace. These are great qualities for a centre back. With his solid physique he dominates aerial duels with most players. Due to his pace not many players can out run him. In years to come, it could even be a rare sight.
If he keeps improving at the rate he has, he could be an incredible prospect for the future and certainly a striker’s nightmare. His characteristics are perfect for a modern day centre back.
Chelsea signed Zouma for a fee of around £12 million. This could prove to be bargain however if he doesn’t take his opportunities in the senior squad it could also a hefty price tag. I personally don’t see Zouma being a player who doesn’t make it at Chelsea, I really believe he could be Chelsea’s next best thing.
With over 60 senior club appearances to his name and 7 caps for the French Under 21’s side he really looks to be a great star for the future.
