Remy to Chelsea done, pending medical

Chelsea have reached an agreement with QPR over the tranfer of Loic Remy, according to Di Marzio.

Mourinho looks set to sign Loic Remy from QPR after Chelsea met the striker’s release clause.

They also have an agreement with the player, and the deal will go through providing the club are happy with the player’s medical which is to take place.

Chelsea are seeking a replacement for Fernando Torres who is set to go on loan to AC Milan for the remainder of his Chelsea contract.

Remy looks a clever option, available at  around £8 million and will provide competition for Costa and Drogba and also be willing to learn of the pair.

Di Marzio, a reliable Italian reporter, states the club have reached agreements with both QPR and Loic Remy, who wants Champions League football, over a move.

Roughly translated, this means Chelsea have a deal with QPR over the transfer of Loic Remy.

According to various sources, the striker’s medical is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday).

While there is no announcement from either club at this time, the deal makes perfect sense and will surely go through before the deadline next week.

This would leave Chelsea with a strike trio of Diego Costa, Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres; unrecognizable from last season, but certainly one Mourinho will be more than happy with.

Remy, currently one of the prize assets of Chelsea’s local rivals, scored 14 goals in 27 game on loan at Newcastle last season and is well adapted to the Premier League.

Chelsea have changed their entire frontline this season, seeing Ba, Eto’o and Torres depart while Costa, Drogba and seemingly Loic Remy, have arrived.
