Young midfielder Lewis Baker has earlier today (Friday) signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea.
The 19-year-old joined the clubÂ’s Academy as an Under-10, and made his first-team debut in January as a substitute in our FA Cup third round win at Derby County.
Baker also scored the goal which clinched the Under-21 Premier League title in May, and won both the clubÂ’s 2013/14 Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season awards.
He is a regular for England Under-19s, and was a part of Jose Mourinho’s squad for the recent pre-season European training camp.
The new deal will end in the summer of 2019.
