Mourinho: You can’t stop Diego Costa

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has began his career at the West London based club on a very good note. He has scored seven goals in Chelsea’s four Barclays premier league games.

This includes his first hat-trick over the weekend against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge. Costa continues to become fans favorite and improves on his performance game after game.

Last Saturday during ChelseaÂ’s League game against Swansea City, Costa scored and became the bluesÂ’ first player since 1928 to score in his first four Premier League games. Diego has also won the Barclays Premier League player for the month of September.

After a disappointing World Cup campaign with Spain in Brazil, the player is showing his worth at Chelsea. He scores when he wants to and defenders are also finding it impossible to prevent him from scoring.

The 25-year-old is a goal poacher, as his work rate has being impressive. His output in ChelseaÂ’s matches has also being magnificent as he tracks back to help his team defend when the need arises. With the help of sensational midfielders like Fabregas, Schurrle, Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Matic, Ramires and others CostaÂ’s current run has being excellent.

Due to his current heroics, he has earned praises from his coach and the football fraternity around the world.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho told BBS Sport after last weekend’s game that “He is one of the best strikers at this moment in football.” Mourinho added, “He is a special player.”

Former England and Newcastle striker Alan Shearer also claimed that “Everything impressed me about Diego Costa today,” Shearer also added on BBC Radio 5 live, “the way he runs the line, in behind and can hold the ball up. He is going to love the Premier League and the Chelsea fans will love him.”

Former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin also added his quota on BBC Sport, “He looks like he will pick up a few injuries because he puts himself about, but he has got everything.” Nevin was also quick to add that “We knew he was strong and a natural finisher, but he has quick feet and a great knowledge of the game.”

On 15th July, Costa signed a five-year deal for Chelsea from Atletico Madrid after the blues agreed to meet his £32 million buy-out clause. The striker has being banging in the goals since joining the Pensioners and continues to become a threat to opposing teams. The big question which looks answered is; can any team stop Costa? No, you can’t stop Diego Costa because the sky is his limit.
