Mourinho explains his summer signings

Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho has explained his signings this summer and believes their inclusion will help his team attack the title well. Before the return of Drogba last Thursday, Chelsea had signed three players.

Chelsea FC signed Cesc Fabregas, Filipe Luis and Diego Costa this summer transfer window. All these players amounted to £77.8 million.

Mourinho claimed that Fabregas gives Chelsea more control over the opponent and is also a midfielder who has in-depth knowledge about the game.

On Filipe he claimed that the player will give Chelsea more solutions and he is a real left-back.

The Chelsea boss made these clarifications during an interview with the Mirror.

“I have the squad I want to have, the right profile to attack the title. I don’t like not to win. I don’t like it.” He said.

Fabregas is a player of control. It means in those away matches we lost last season, we will have much more control.

“I explained to Fabregas the move was perfect for him, while Luis gives us more solutions because we can switch Azpilicueta.” Mourinho added.

“We need a player for the midfield with a different footballistic profile and a pure left-back: a real left-back.”

The former Real Madrid boss indicated that Costa is already a complete striker, with an amazing intelligence and a strong guy who fears nothing.

“He is ready. He doesn’t need a mentor. He is a made player; an end product, a complete striker,” he further stressed. “But he’s much more than that. His movement is incredible, the intelligence is amazing, the choices he makes.”

ItÂ’s immediate, a big, strong guy, using his body, attacking spaces, holding up the ball and pressing people.

“He is afraid of nothing, ready for everything. What jumps immediately when you see him is his physical profile,” he ended.

Jose Mourinho is currently leading his team on pre-season as they prepare ahead of the new season.
