John Terry: We are not carried away

Chelsea captain John Terry has indicated that the team is not carried away with the side’s current run of form.

Chelsea continued their fantastic run with a 5-0 emphatic away win against Schalke 04 in a UEFA Champions League group game.

He reiterated that the team hopes this run continues and praised the forwards for an extraordinary performance.

Terry couldnÂ’t hide his delight as Chelsea has already qualified to the 1/16 stage of the competition with one game left.

The Chelsea skipper scored the first goal of the night in the 2nd minute from a corner; a goal he believes was vital. In the end he was excited with the teamÂ’s general performance on the night.

“We want to continue, we are not getting carried away.” John Terry told reporters after the game.

“The forwards played excellent, they put in a shift in defending well.”

“We are delighted to go through with a game to go.” The 34-year-old revealed.

“My goal killed them off but our second and third goals were great.”

“It was a great performance from the lads tonight,” he ended.

ChelseaÂ’s 5-0 victory over Schalke04 last night is their biggest away win in UEFA Champions League history.
