Filipe Luis called up to Brazil squad

Chelsea new boy Filipe Luis has been named in the Brazilian squad for the first time since the 2013 Confederations Cup.

This is Dunga’s first team selection since he took over from former Chelsea man Scolari after Brazil’s disastrous World Cup campaign.

Luis will be in good Chelsea company when Brazil take on friendlies against Colombia and Ecuador next month, as fellow Chelsea stars Ramires, Willian and Oscar have also been selected by Dunga, as Brazil begin the road to recovery following this summer’s World Cup.

Luis signed for Chelsea during the summer window, for a fee of £15.8m after a stunning season at Atlético Madrid, as he helped Simeone’s side win a historic league title.

They also reached the Champions League final, where they were beaten by bitter rivals Real Madrid. Luis’ performances last campaign mean he is now widely regarded as one of the world’s best fullbacks.
