Fernando Torres joins AC Milan

Fernando Torres has today completed his loan move for AC Milan from Chelsea.

The two-year loan deal will see Torres play out the remainder of his Chelsea contract in Italy.

Chelsea agreed a deal with Milan on Friday and, now personal terms and a medical have been sorted, the striker has ended his Chelsea misery.

Chelsea have replaced Torres with Loic Remy, who signs from QPR.

Having signed for Chelsea for £50 million in January 2011, Torres failed to live up to expectations at the Bridge.

The 30-year old won the FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League during his time in West London.

However, the move is suitable for all parties, including Torres himself who embarks on a new challenge.

Chelsea said on their official website:

Chelsea Football Club thanks Fernando for his service during the past four seasons and wishes him the very best for his loan in Italy.
