Drogba: It’s very difficult to say no to Jose and Chelsea

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has revealed how easy his decision to return to Stamford Bridge was. He added that it was also very hard to reject Jose Mourinho and Chelsea return offer.

Drogba has signed a one-year deal for Chelsea after leaving the club in 2012. The striker hopes to help the club to win the Premier League again after failing to do so since 2010.It would be Drogba’s fourth Premier League title, if the club wins it this season.

The former Galatasaray striker first joined Chelsea during the 2004/2005 season and went on to score 157 goals in 226 appearances.

The striker whoÂ’s last kick for Chelsea before leaving the club in 2012 helped the team to win the UEFA Champions League, told the clubÂ’s official website in an interview.

“It was an easy decision to make; It’s very difficult to say no to Jose and Chelsea.” He said.

“Five years is a long time not to win the Premier League, so I want to win it. To lift the Premier League trophy is a fantastic feeling and we haven’t experienced it for a few years – it’s too long for a club like ours.”

The Ivory Coast legend admitted how it feels to be back at the London based club. He was also full of praises for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. The veteran striker expressed his desire to help the team win trophies.

“It’s amazing to be back, a great feeling,” Drogba added.

“He’s the one who gave me a chance to play in the Premier League. We won so many trophies together and so many matches on the pitch. He further stressed.
“His relationship is not only with me, it’s with all the players who were here from the beginning of the story. It’s quite emotional but the most important thing is that we want to win, win, win. The former Marseille player ended.

The 36-year-old won 12 trophies for Chelsea during his eight years at the club. In November 2012, Drogba was named ChelseaÂ’s greatest ever player in a poll of 20,000 fans conducted by Chelsea Magazine.
