The 25 year old Spain international has joined Chelsea on a 5 year deal worth around £32 million.
So far fans seens rather divided whether he will end up being a good signing or not. However if you consider he was the second highest scorer in La Liga last season only behind Cristiano Ronaldo, you should be feeling at least a tad for confident.
The spaniard also managed a brilliant 8 goals in the Champions League last season. Even with these brilliant figure, you still need to remember that he suffered a couple of injuries through out the season which kept him out for several games.
Although he had a below par world cup, you need to take into account the fact that he had only just returned from injury and also the fact he was playing in a team who’s style of play differs significantly from him. However luckily, Costa’s style is very similar to the way Chelsea play.
All I will say is give him a decent chance!
