Costa to appeal

Chelsea’s star forward Diego Costa is going to Contest the FA Violent Conduct Charge levelled at him after allegedly stamping on Liverpool’s Emre Can in their Capital One Cup game on Tuesday Night.

The Spaniard insists it was unintentional and seems to have gained support from the most unlikely sources like Gary Neville. It’s very rare for the FA to rule in Chelsea favour but the fact is he wasn’t looking at the player.

Costa is facing a three-match ban if he loses this appeal.

Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, has cancelled his usual pre-match press conference which was due to take place on Friday. Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho are 100% behind Costa.

We have seen so many bad challenges on Eden Hazard and seen nothing happening to the perpetrators of these horrendous challenges.

We also witnessed a nasty stamp on Filipe Luis earlier this season go un punished it will be interesting to see how the FA handle this issue.
