Some Stats:

Six players in, from five different clubs.

Eleven players on the ‘transfers out’ list have left the club permanently.

A total of twenty-six  players have been loaned out, with Torres and Chalobah & Blackman the longest and shortest durations respectively.

Vitesse Arnhem have managed to take three Chelsea players on loan, Middlesborough taking four.

Four of the six new signings participated in the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

David Luiz becomes the most expensive defender in history and Chelsea’s biggest sale in history.

Six of the players loaned out are English.

Colombian Joao Rodriguez and Mexican Ulises Davila were both the first players to sign for Chelsea from their respective countries, and both have been loaned out this window.

Both Diego Costa and Filipe Luis are La Liga champions.

Our total transfer outlay stands at £88.5m, and we have done well to recoup £86m of that leaving our net spend at just £2.5m. We virtually swapped Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and Filipe Luis for David Luiz and Romelu Lukaku and that has to be considered excellent business. Hats off to Roman Abramovich, Marina Granovskaia, Michael Emenalo and of course Jose Mourinho.
