Chelsea to swap Cech for World Cup Winner?

Reports in the press today suggest that Real Madrid want Chelsea legend Petr Cech at the Bernabeu.

Ancelotti’s side are willing to offer midfilder Sami Khedira in exchange for goalkeeper Petr Cech this January.

The Spanish side are looking for a replacment for Iker Casillas who has experienced a difficult start to the season in Madrid.

The Mirror report that Sami Khedira, who’s contract at Real Madrid is up in the summer, will be used as bait to lure Chelsea into a deal that will see a proper club legend going the other way.

Petr Cech has endured a frustrating season so far after losing his spot to Thiabut Courtois who reuturned to West London after three years on loan at Real Madrid’s local rivals Atlético.

The deal seems a sensible one for all parties as Real Madrid seek more security at the back and Cech looking to reignite his career which still has a few very strong years in it.

Chelsea would also be getting a world class midfield aquisition, who eventually stayed at Madrid after a season of speculation surrounding his future.

If a deal were to go through, however, it would leave Chelsea seeking a new back up goalkeeper to cover for Belgian Thibaut Courtois.
