Various Romanian news outlets are reporting that Chelsea are set to win the race for 17 year old Romanian prospect Manea Cristian.
The young starlet has been linked to a number of European clubs, but it seems Chelsea are set to win the race for the Romanian fullback.
Reports suggest that Chelsea have agreed a long term deal for Cristian, believed to be around £2.3 million, with the young fullback expected to earn £16,000 a month at the West London side.
It is expected that the Romanian starletÂ’s move will be completed during the January transfer window, before being sent on loan to Dutch club, Vitesse or Spanish side, Mallorca in order to continue his development.
Cristian is currently in his second season at the Romanian club, Viitorul Constanta, with the young right back playing in six of the clubÂ’s seven opening games.
The 17 year old has impressed in his 2 seasons at Viitorul Constanta and has broken into the Romanian national team, with the young fullback becoming the youngest ever player to represent the Romanian national team.
