Cesc’s recovery

Cesc Fabregas played 89 minutes on Saturday night, in Chelsea’s 6-3 win over Everton at Goodison Park. But for the Spaniard, there were more positives to take than just the three points.

Yesterday, Fabregas tweeted that this was his first game without pain for eight months – “Despues de 8 meses de pubalgia, el sabado jugu mi primer partido sin dolor!! Gracias”

Chelsea’s new central midfielder reportedly had a hernia operation at the start of the year, and has spent the last eight months recovering from it.

Fabregas joined the club this summer, but featured heavily last season with Barcelona, suggesting that the pain has never been great enough to stop him fro playing.

The news is only a positive for Chelsea fans, considering the performances he has put in so far this season, supposedly ‘with pain’.
