Cavani wants Premier League move

Reports claiming Edinson Cavani would like a Premier League switch have flooded the media today, after Sky reported that the Uruguayan’s agent had been ‘instructed’ to sort out the move.

Chelsea are certain to be watching the forward, with the move almost happening last Summer.

The 27 year-old only left Napoli to join French giants PSG last year, but has frequently fuelled speculation of a move by declaring his unhappiness with life in the French capital. Cavani moved for a huge sum of 55m, scoring 22 goals in 34 games for the club.

Cavani is said to be unhappy at the fact he is often put on the wing to accommodate for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sky sources claim.

A move to Chelsea would not be out of the picture, with the Blues’ forward line being heavily criticised last season; however, the acquisition of Diego Costa may cause Jose to think twice about a move for the Uruguayan.

During a World Cup interview, Cavani reportedly said: “One day you are in one team and, the next day, you can be in another.” suggesting a move is likely this summer; and with one of the most threatening goal records in world Football, every top team is sure to have their eyes on the forward.
