Can Patrick Bamford make the first team?

After scoring 21 Goals in 44 games for MK Dons, 8 Goals in 21 Games for Derby County, 7 Goals in 15 games for Middlesbrough and scoring 6 goals in the last 7 games, many fans are asking themselves if Bamford can get a place in the first team.

Patrick Bamford is 21 Years old and is currently on loan from Chelsea at Middlesbrough. Patrick is in a very good form at the moment and he always showed his qualities and he always won a starting place in every club, but he still has no debut match for CFC. Now the question is will he get a chance at CFC or will he be sold or will he be send on loan again. But to answer this question, let’s look back what happend before the season started.

Patrick Bamford played a fantastic 2013/14 season for MK Dons and Derby County. Mourinho was convinced to have Bamford in his Team for the Season 2014/15. Patrick told in a interview that Mourinho said to him that he would be their 3rd striker for the Season 14/15. But then everything changed, Drogba was available and so Mourinho decided to bring Drogba back at the Stamford Bridge and sent Bamford again on loan. Many Teams were interested in signing him on loan for 1 Season and if you read many then I mean nearly 10 Teams or even more.

Mourinho decided to send him to the Team coached by his old Co-Trainer and his friend Aitor Karanka, Middlesbrough. The Loan contract guilts only until 01. January but at the moment they are trying to hold him until the end of the season and Cfc also thinks to let him there, because if he changes the Team then he has to start from the beginning and so he could not imporve as a player. So let’s hope he stays in Middlesbrough until the end of the season.

Middlesbrough currently is 2nd in the Championship but there is no points or goal difference to the leaders. Bournemouth and Middlesbrough have 39 points and a goals difference by +20, they are followed by Derby County and Ipswich Town both 38 points, Brentford 37points, Watford 35 points and Norwich 33 points. So there is still everything open and if you want Footballdrama then watch the Championship (for me one of the best leagues in the world).

Now can Bamford play for Cfc next season? I think Yes but only if Drogba retires or Remy leaves. Bamford would be used as 3rd striker and he would get his chances and we all hope he shows his qualities and takes a Starting place at CFC. I know that every true Chelsea fan wants a Chelsea academy player to start ahead of everyone so If we would have to Choose between Bamford or Costa, many would choose Bamford, also because he is english and would be good for England. Academy over foreign players. That is my opinion and I know many think other than me but also many would agree with me.

So let’s hope he does well at Middlesbrough and comes back at Cfc as a very good striker. And with this sentence I wish him in the name of all Chelsea Fans good luck in the Future.
