Breaking: Chelsea sign Loic Remy

Chelsea have today announced the signing of striker Loic Remy from London rivals QPR.

Remy has signed a four year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea activated the Frenchman’s release caluse on Friday following the news that Fernando Torres would be joining AC Milan.

The Blues announced the news on Sunday afternoon on their official Twitter and on the club website.

Remy has reportedly cost Chelsea around £8 million, and some claim he is on £80k per week at The Blues.

Remy will provde back up and competition for the in-form Diego Costa as well as club legend Didier Drogba.

Remy is adapated to the Premier League having played for both QPR and Newcastle United in England’s top competition.

He also competed in the Champions League for former club Marseille in France.

He is eligible for all competitions that the Blues compete in, having not played in QPR’s Capital One Cup defeat to Burton Albion.

The signing gives Chelsea a very talented looking frontline, in Diego Costa, Dider Drogba and now Loic Remy.

Remy could make his debut when Chelsea face Swansea in the Premier League following the international break.
