Former Chelsea player will be a ‘top category’ head coach in the future

Not every professional football player wants to get into coaching when they retire from the game.

Some of them go into punditry, some go into a directors role, some leave the game completely. For others, coaching is just not for them.

EXCLUSIVE! The Inside Chelsea column with Ben Jacobs!!

Being a top quality player does not always mean that you will be a top quality coach, and in fact we have seen many examples of this fact.

But for former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, he looks like he could prove to be a top coach as well as a top player.

Fabregas is currently the assistant manager at Como in Italy, but he did also have a stint there are caretaker manager. He has now been tipped to become a ‘top category’ head coach by the current manager of Como, Osian Roberts.

Roberts has worked with and mentored a few bright young coaches, Mikel Arteta, Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry, and Pep Lijnders, but he thinks Fabregas will be even better!
