England defeated fellow home-nation Scotland 3-0 last night in their World Cup qualification group-stage clash.
Gary Cahill was the sole Chelsea representative in Gareth Southgate’s squad and he did us proud. Cahill met an in-swinging Wayne Rooney corner headed the ball past Craig Gordon and into the Scotland net.
It was only his fourth international goal overall and his first since a friendly against Peru in May 2014. Five cleansheets on the bounce and now an international goal, it’s been quite a few weeks for Cahill on a personal level.
