Chelsea maestro linked with Juventus move

Chelsea have offered Spanish international Cesc Fabregas to Italian champions Juventus, after the Blues refused to sell fellow midfielder Nemanja Matic to the Old Lady.

Football Italia are reporting that Juventus are on the lookout to sign a talented midfielder following their sale of Paul Pogba to Manchester United, despite the arrival of Miralem Pjanic from Roma earlier on in the window.

Serbian international Matic was a target for the Bianconeri, but Chelsea’s new manager Antonio Conte, who has previously managed the Italian champions, was against the move and persuaded the 28-year-old to stay in London.

However, the report goes on to add that Conte has instead offered his former club the services of ex-Barcelona midfielder, Cesc Fabregas.

Despite the fact that the Spaniard isn’t at the top of Juventus’ wishlist, it would be hard to turn down the chance to sign such an experienced and talented player, even though he could cost up to €45m, when you include his €7m-a-year wage.
