Chelsea rejoin race for Edinson Cavani

Chelsea have reportedly once again turned their interests to Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, the French club responded to the West London club, asking for a hefty price for their forward.

Le 10 Sport are suggesting that Ligue 1 champions PSG are reluctant to sell their man who could now fill the hole left my Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but it seems as though the Uruguayan international is wanting to depart.

It’s nothing personal when it comes to why Cavani wants to leave Ligue 1, he simply wants a new adventure and it looks as if Premier League side Chelsea have picked up on this, and have a new offer.

The report goes on to add that the West London club submitted a €50m bid for the former Napoli striker, but PSG weren’t interested in that and made a counter-offer of €80m.

This isn’t the first time that Cavani has been linked with a move to Chelsea, with it being known for several seasons that the Blues have, and seem to always will be, a keen admirer of the striker.
