Full-time: Chelsea 2-1 Dynamo Kiev – Willian the hero again

After really shutting out the first half, Chelsea never really got going in the second half. With Hazard and Pedro sat on the bench, that was always likely to be the case, when they did come on though they changed the game.

Early in the first half Zouma made an incredible sliding tackle from behind the Kiev player who was through 1 on 1.

Begovic was very alert in a quiet game for him, commanding his box without Kiev really having a shot on target – but made a huge mistake coming out for a corner and missing the ball leaving the goal gaping wide.

Willian was the stand out player once again, he made the first goal and had a header brilliantly saved by Shovkovskiy who had a great game. In the second half he scored a peach of a free-kick, which was won by Hazard.

Matic seems very uncertain of himself at the moment, he lost the ball over and over again and couldn’t find the correct passes. Costa in a similar position, fell to the ground when he could of scored.

An overall nervy performance but an important win which puts us second in the group.
