Everton interested in Bamford

Patrick Bamford has the potential to become a terrific striker in the future, but only if he is developed properly, and thus far he has been. With 19 goals in his last loan spell with Middlesbrough he is now looking towards playing in the Premier League. If not with Chelsea then with another club on loan(hopefully, as he could be sold, but it is highly unlikely). Out of the other 19 teams in the Premier League, it is said that the Toffees are interested in the prolific marksman, but is Everton the right option for the 21 year-old?(Daily Mail)

Short answer is no. Why? Because Everton aren’t looking for Bamford to be their first choice striker as long as Lukaku stays, furthermore, if Lukaku does stay at the Merseyside club and Bamford joins up with him then the loud-mouthed Belgian might speak badly of Bamford’s parent club and make him resent Chelsea for sending him out on loan, just like they did to Romelu.

Furthermore, Atsu’s loan spell last season with Everton was an absolute disaster. What was deemed to be a great opportunity for the young Ghanaian to succeed and develop turned into a nightmare for all parties involved. Atsu got injured, he barely even played, and Everton managed it all horribly. Do the Chelsea board really want the same to potentially happen to Bamford? I hope not.

Solution to the Bamford Dilemma would be to loan him out to mid-table club such as Sunderland or a newly promoted club even. He has to be the first choice striker if he is to become the striker we all very well know he can be.
