Latest Chelsea Transfer Rumours – 12.10.14

Check out all the latest transfer rumours right here, as of the 12th of October.

Petr Cech:

Our legendary goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Serie A or La Liga in January, with both AS Roma and Atletico Madrid both rumoured to be interested.

Petr-Cech (1)My opinion: Petr has been an outstanding servant to Chelsea, making 327 appearances and keeping 162 clean sheets. However, Thibaut Courtois seems to have nailed down the starting spot at Chelsea and so for Cech’s career’s sake we should let him leave in January or the summer.

Raheem Sterling:

This week the Liverpool youngster has been linked with a huge £48 million move to Chelsea. Mourinho has undoubtedly noticed Sterling after the winger after he scored 9 Premier League goals last season.

My opinion: I can definitely see Sterling playing for Chelsea one day. He would slot into the right side of midfield, and we could have explosive pace and technical ability on both sides, not just the left, where a certain Eden Hazard plys his trade. Hazard’s inevitable move to Real Madrid ‘one day’ could also be a factor in the deal. If Liverpool offered me Sterling for £35 million I would snatch their hand off. Is £48 million worth it? Only time will tell, or not.

Seamus Coleman:

Chelsea have also this week been linked with Everton right back Seamus Coleman.

My opinion: We have Branislav Ivanovic and Cesar Azpilicueta who both play in his position so this deal wouldn’t be the cleverest move Mourinho has made. No doubt Everton would demand £20 million plus for their star man, so I strongly object to this.

Will Cech leave? Can Sterling be our next Hazard? Please have your say in the comments section.
