PSG – Challenging but not impossible

Cast your minds back to pre-season of 2012,just after we had triumphed in Europe on that glorious day of 19 of May 2012. Arguably the great night in the history of chelsea football club as Martin Tyler said after Didier slotted home that famous penalty.

The result from that game in America on pre-season was 1-1 with goals from our currently on loan Lucas Piazon and the single goal for PSG coming from Néne. Although this was just a friendly match it was our first encounter with a ‘reformed’ PSG side.

The acquisition of PSG from the state of Qatar itself makes PSG one of the wealthiest clubs in the world. With this wealth comes world class players such as Cavani, Lavazzei, Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva. All world class players at the top of their games.

But rule us out at your peril. They may have some of the top players in the world but then again so do we! Emerging new talents, fresh with energy and all have a desire to play for their shirt Oscar, Willain, Hazard, Shurrle and Azpilicuata to name a few.

These players in my opnion can rival any of the top players in Europe and they haven’t reached their full potential! But with a great time you need a great manager. Jose Mourinho knows how to beat top teams. He loves being the underdog.

He loves installing a winning mentality into his players. Jose Mourinho is building his squad the way he wants it to be and to play the way he wants them to play. So their is no doubt that the second and eighth of April will be big days for the chelsea fans calander.

But I do believe that we have a genuine chance of beating this side. Like any team they have their weaknesses and Jose is clever enough to find and exploit these weaknesses.
