Salah: I need more time to adapt at Chelsea

Mohamed Salah discloses that he needs more time to adapt to the Chelsea team, playing down reports of him not being happy at the club due to lack of regular involvement since he joined.

He also denied reports of the club wanting to loan him out.

“I train well with Chelsea and I’m happy at the club, despite the lack of my involvement with the team on a regular basis, and this is normal because the Chelsea team is one of the big teams and I need more time to adapt to the team,”

The Egypt international said, in an interview with CNN’s Arabic website.

“Being on the list of substitutes for Chelsea does not worry me, especially since playing with a team like Chelsea is different than playing with my former team FC Basel.”

Jose Mourinho, in an interview with Le Matin last week said he expects Salah to take a certain amount of time to adapt to the difficult life at Chelsea and also touted the Egyptian to make his “break-through” season at the club next season.

“I have also been informed by the team manager Jose Mourinho, that my chance to come in the near future,”

Salah, signed from Basel by Chelsea in January for a reported fee of 11m is surprised at reports claiming he would be loaned out.

“It’s wrong, the transfer window is closed — so how can Chelsea think of sending me out on loan?” the Chelsea winger clinched.
